Designing the Cover: 'Scrivere: dal romanzo al progetto

The publishing house "The Red Thin Line" gave me complete creative freedom for the cover design. Drawing inspiration from minimalistic marketing and design books, I aimed to capture the essence of the guide for a young and dynamic audience: aspiring writers.
At the heart of the design is the book's subject: the illustration that captures the reader's attention. I chose to depict a neutral character, devoid of gender-specific traits, allowing anyone to see themselves in it. It was crucial that this character be deeply engrossed in thought, living in a world of their own. I wanted it to radiate creativity, representing a vibrant and lively entity.
As the project came to its conclusion, the feedback I received was immensely gratifying. The publishing house "The Red Thin Line" expressed their satisfaction with the cover's design, emphasizing how it resonated with their vision for the book. Moreover, Davide Pellegrini, the author, conveyed his appreciation, noting that the cover genuinely encapsulated the essence of his work. This positive reception reaffirms the importance of a thoughtful and collaborative design process, and I am grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of this journey.
